    Description

“For “The Spirituality of Place,” a group exhibit on display at the Savannah College of Art and Design’s Gutstein Gallery, Ono created a decidedly anti-war installation, consisting of dozens of vintage military helmets strung from the ceiling and hanging upside from various heights.
Each helmet is filled with a generous handful of puzzle pieces printed with bright blue and white images of the sky, offering hope for the future and faith in the possibility of lasting peace. In this bittersweet and thought-provoking installation, Ono invites the viewer to reflect upon the nature of war and loss as well as the ties that bind us together.” - Hersh,
