Vintage Florsheim? Two Tone Men's Wingtip Shoes 9D

An older relative passed recently. In his closet we found a Florsheim box with these shoes carefully wrapped within. They've been worn and the shoes were re-heeled at one point. The leather is in very good condition. I don't know that they're Florsheim shoes...the only wording I can make out inside is "Made in Italy." There is a marking which seems to suggest that the shoes are size 7, but they clearly aren't. I'm a size 8 and these are too long for me; I'd guess they're 9's. Width is definitely D. They are comfortable well-constructed shoes with a good arch support. They will need new soles as they're too slippery as is.
The heel with the rubber pad is 1 1/4" high. The length of the shoe is 11 1/2".
