It will not be an abuse to say that the
Vortex Flanger
is currently the most functional, compact and soundproof effect of this type on the market. Built on high-quality components, it provides the best parameters and the possibility of a wide range of settings, because it was created from scratch for the most demanding guitarists.
The new floor pedal allows both the classic sound to emulate its original form with all the phase flavor of the Through-Zero-Flanger tricks through more modern effect simulations, all the way to an extremely distorted sound.
We can also choose between a flanger effect with negative feedback [phase of delayed signal is inverted] and positive [phase of delayed signal is not changed], while other options allow us to move from classic tube flanger tones to slightly more subtle tape. Complete control is possible thanks to the knobs on the front panel: Speed, which determines the delay time of the flanger effect, and Depth, which affects the depth and intensity of the effect.
The key controller is the Delay Time potentiometer, thanks to which we can obtain the sound of a passing jet [rich in high frequencies] or more subtle 'tube' sounds. Finally, the Feedback knob, which is responsible for the amount of feedback.
There was also an amazing 'TonePrint' function that provides users with access to sounds that are the hallmark of the greatest modern guitarists. By creating their own presets - John Petrucci, Ron 'BumbleFoot' Thal, Orianthi, Steffen Schackinger, Joe Perry or Doug Aldrich had access to all the parameters offered by individual effects, not just those that can be adjusted from the panel.
