    Description

    Sony
    KX-1901A 19" ProFeel Professional
    CRT Monitor
    This listing is for a
    Sony KX-1901A
    19" Professional CRT monitor
    .
The Sony KX-1901A ProFeel is the first "PVM" Sony monitor (with the KX prefix being used only for these first generation monitors). They are also some of the most stylish professional Sony monitors to ever be sold. With a silver finish, sleek shape,
    real glass
    filter,
    true
    R
    G
    B
    input
, remote control (thru RGB input) support, built-in stereo amplifier, and more, the KX-1901A is a perfect addition to any collection where a high-quality CRT is required!
    The monitor
    WORKS GREAT!
This monitor was tested thru the composite video input. Picture was sharp, clear, and bright with no abnormalities! Geometry is very good for an unrestored, nearly 40-year-old monitor but it is not perfect and could possibly benefit from minor adjustment. RGB input untested due to lack of special 36-pin connector (Custom cables are sold on Retro Access or can be made by hand). Audio is untested due to the lack of appropriate speakers.
Please see the pictures to see the monitor displaying images and test patterns!
    The monitor is in
    OK CONDITION
. This monitor was certainly "well loved." The unit has
    many scratches, nicks, and marks
all over. Some are deep, particularly one that runs into the paint halfway down the right side of the monitor. In addition, the front "flap"/cover for the controls is missing. There is dirt and dust in many of the crevices and vents. There are no cracks in the plastic shell. The
    glass filter is nearly perfect
with only one small scratch that I could see in the bright light. There are no missing badges or other items. The unit is quite presentable overall.
Please see the pictures to see the condition of the unit for yourself!
NOTE THAT NO RGB ADAPTOR IS INCLUDED
    .
The 34-pin RGB cable is similar to that used for PC IDE drives. Premade RGB to SCART cables can be bought from Retro Access cables or can be handmade.
