Scarce OLD Algerian Silver FIBULA with Enamel decoration and Coral. Kabyle? Berber? We believe this lovely piece (I've had over 40 years) was made in Algeria during French colonial rule (pre 1962). There are several very small French hallmarks you may be able to see in the pics if you enlarge them. The smallest and harder to see is on the ring closure, it appears as a worn face. The clearest and the one that wouldn't photograph for me, is on the lower band to the right of the center bead and is a diamond shape with a duck and two letters, "C, H". A third is on the far left rope edge across from the coral, it is the crab hallmark. It also would not photograph with my phone, sorry.
Piece measures 2-3/4 by 1-1/4" in total. In very nice and lovingly cared for antique condition with a small old worn bruise to the top edge of the coral cab inset. It is coral and not glass. I will be listing another Berber piece in a little bit, a silver, enamel & coral pin I bought in France in the 70s.
