Handmade Bead necklace Venetian millefiori old Spindle whorl beads & Brass

Description

At its focal point are two antique African Spindle Whorl (black clay) beads from Mali. Between them, three loops of tiny white heart red African trade beads. Following, two old red Tibetan brass-capped resin beads and two red glass melon  beads from Nepal. Ten matching, rare, quite stunning, antique, Venetian Millefiori beads from the African trade. Every thing is separated with hand made brass aja beads from Africa and finished with antique African palm nut heishi. 21 inches long.
I use ancient, antique, trade, vintage and even, on occasion, new beads. I arrange them into interesting, original patterns to make             one- of- a- kind necklaces that have a classic feel.  Some old beads have imperfections; to me, that's part of their character, their history. They are, after all, artifacts; connections to the past.
