This is Limited Edition Number 439 of just 1919 Produced Worldwide!
About the Pen:
Pope John Paul II, born Karol Wojtyla (1920 – 2005), was elected Pope of the Catholic Church in 1978. He is the only Slavic or Polish pope to date. Now known as Blessed John Paul II, since his beautification on May 1, 2011.
The Aurora Pope (“Papa”) Fountain Pen is made in travertine auroloide, representing the St. Peter columns, and a sterling silver cap. On top of the dome shaped cap is a cabochon gem the same color as the barrel.
The silver cap is engraved with the Popes coat of arms. One side with the eagle, the first known symbol used by Pope Innocentius III. On the other side, as symbols of Blessed Pope John Paul II, a cross and the letter M, initial of Mary.
The fountain pen features a piston filling system, with Aurora’s hidden reservoir system, and 18 Kt white gold nib Fine (F).
Comes complete with all original packaging, including the cardboard outer box sleeve, red Aurora cardboard box sleeve, the presentation box, Aurora booklet with the Certificate of Authenticity (COA), a bottle of Aurora ink and the limited edition fountain pen number 439 of just 1919 produced by Aurora.
I purchased this fountain pen from Pens Plus in Delray Beach, FL in July 2005 and it has sat in my pen closet, in a smoke free home, since then.  I am the original and only owner of this beautiful, limited edition fountain pen!
